Afro Nation Ghana Boasts an Impressive Lineup

Following the news of Afro Nation Ghana last month, the team behind the sold-out Afro Nation Portugal have continued their festival rise with a colossal number of pre-registration sign-ups and hype surrounding the inaugural year. Today, the highly anticipated first wave of talent is revealed with African and Caribbean stars set to touch down on the beautiful location of Laboma Beach, Accra this December 27th-30th.


Headliners include Nigerian reggae-dancehall star Burna Boy, fresh from his Coachella performance, the “Ye” singer will be joined by record-breaking afrobeats artist Davido whose music has won the hearts of fans across the globe. The third headliner to join the billing is dancehall performer, Alkaline, known for his hip-hop influenced music and bold visual style he’ll bring Caribbean vibes to Afro Nation Ghana this December.


The 4-day festival will welcome further headliners, globally recognised superstar Wizkid whose success has cemented him as one of Nigeria’s biggest pop acts, plus electrifying talent Stonebwoy – his latest single ‘Shuga’ with Beenie Man is an Afro-Dancehall mash-up – also announced is Ghana’s very own self-confessed ‘King of the Dancehall’ Shatta Wale.


Further talent comes in the shape of Afro-pop singer/song-writer Yemi Alade, London-based 4-piece collective The Compozers and hilariously unique breakthrough artist, Teni, plus London’s heroes of rap and afrobeats, Yxng Bane and Not3s. With Kuame Eugene, Naira Marley, KiDi, Wendy Shay and La Meme Gang, plus DJs Distruction Boyz, DJ Vyrusky and DJ Obi all confirmed so far, Afro Nation Ghana is shaping up to be a festival not to be missed.
