Date Night: London Cabaret Club – Christmas Royale
The London Cabaret Club launched a special version of their critically acclaimed show ‘London Never Dies’, newly entitled ‘Christmas Royale’, which offered a scintillating James Bond-inspired experience, but with a host of seasonal twists thrown in.
The performance featured Bond classics such as Sheena Easton’s For Your Eyes Only, Shirley Bassey’s Diamonds Are Forever and Goldfinger, Madonna’s Die Another Day, Alicia Keys and Jack White’s Another Way to Die, Adele’s Skyfall amongst others delivering the evening’s glamorous soundtrack.
Located in Holborn, The London Cabaret Club was clearly committed to creating an experience as upon arrival we were invited to pre-show enjoyment in the venue’s accommodating lounge/bar area before the main dining and show began. It really set the tone for the evening with a live performer singing all our favorite Christmas classics. It was also a chance to get your first drink of the evening and to relax.
Guests dine on a delicious three-course meal as performances take place, and it was evident when looking around the room the amazement of the audience of how talented the performers were. The show allowed us to hear a range of vocals from the lead singer, but also see an incredible cyr wheel performance and
Dependent on when you arrive, the experience is roughly 3+ hours long, so this can determine your evening. The evening’s structure lends itself to a variety show format; certain performances standing out as a result – a cyr wheel piece and bold rollerblading act that had us on the edge of our seats.
The concept ties in a dining experience with performance pieces, with the idea being that guests are constantly immersed and entertained. If you’re looking for a date night that has a bit of everything this Christmas, then look no further.
