DEXTA DAPS THE TRILOGY TOUR

Dancehall sensation Dexta Daps makes his highly-anticipated return to the UK for the kickoff of his TRILOGY tour. Two dates have been announced in London at the Troxy on 10th and 13th of March as well as a stop in Birmingham at The Forum on the 12th of March and Manchester’s BEC Arena on 14th March.  The dancehall star’s latest track, ‘Forever’ is out now.

Songs such as ‘Shabba Madda Pot’ (2015), ‘3G’ (2016), and ‘21’ (2017) have made Dexta Daps a dancehall mainstay known for appealing to the streets and bedroom. Dexta released his first album, Intro, in 2017, followed by 2020’s Vent his second full-length showcase. He has collaborated with many dancehall artists, including Kranium, Masicka, Movado, and international artists like M.I.A, Kiesza, and Tory Lanez.

A proud native of the Seaview Gardens neighbourhood in West Kingston, Dexta Daps (born Louis Anthony Grandison, Jr.) has been an active recording artist since the turn of the 2010s. During his first several years of studio work, he appeared on numerous riddim compilations, released singles such as ‘Shabba Madda Pot’ (honouring Shabba Ranks‘ mother, a beloved Seaview matriarch), and recorded with M.I.A. (“Foreign Friend”).

Intro, a collaboration with the Daseca Productions team, was issued in 2017 as his debut album. Singles and featured appearances throughout the next couple of years led to the 2020 arrival of his self-released second album, Vent. Among the set’s standouts were ‘Breaking News’, ‘A Plus’ (a duet with Spice), and ‘Obviously’ (featuring Beenie Man).

If I was a celebrity I'd be Will Smith. If I was an album I'd be The Low End Theory. My party trick is that I can tell you the year any rapper was born.
