Review: Convent Garden’s Lilly’s Café is Your New Favourite Brunch Spot

Located on the ground floor of 3 Henrietta Street in Covent Garden, Lilly’s Café is fast becoming the go-to place to dine in the heart of London. Whether you’re looking for a mouth-watering brunch, extensive three course dinner, or some unbeatable tea and cake, Lilly’s Café makes for an unforgettable experience.

We recently visited the Lilly’s and were able to enjoy their outdoor seating in Covent Garden’s famous piazza. Lilly’s Cafe’s menu benefits from an all-day breakfast menu, as well as a dinner menu. Lilly Cafe’s standout dishes include Banoffee Toast, Cacio e Pepe scrambled eggs, Sweet Roasted Potato & Burrata Flatbread and the Dill Chicken Pita.

We opted for their scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon, chiliquiles which is a bowl of poached eggs, chipotle agave sauce, avocado, corn tortillas and chicken shawarma. We also tried their Orecchette Pasta that comes with charred broccoli, lemon cream and peas, but our favourite dish was masala fries. The fries are drenched in a sticky red and green chili sauce, black pepper and spring onions and the ingredients all mesh together to create a spicy but sweet mixture that you’ll absolutely love.

Lilly’s Café also offers bottomless cake and two glasses of champagne for just £30 per person, or £20 to pair the cake with tea or coffee. Pair your drink of choice with as many slices of Lilly’s cakes as you please, which can be enjoyed on the spectacular outside terrace on a sunny afternoon, or inside the café.
