Big on Brunch: Camden’s Near & Far is the Best of Both Worlds

Camden is known for its buzzing and lively atmosphere, the Shoreditch before Shoreditch. But with the many restrictions that our great city now lives by, Camden is more now a tamed version of itself. However, keeping the Camden-flame alight is Near & Far; a four floored bar & restaurant based in Chalk Farm adjacent to the famous Camden Stables.

On weekends Near & Far offer their scrumptious bottomless cocktail brunch with a Mexican twist. On the menu, you can have a Full Mexican which includes; chicharrón, chorizo, grilled tomatillos and more. A traditional Full English with the usual best bits of any Full English. Veggies have the huevos rancheros that come with baked burford eggs, tomato salsa, avocado, and more. Whilst there’s a vegan Full English, vegan avocado dishes, and a plethora of egg dishes for all you egg lovers out there. We chose the Full English and Full Mexican, the chorizo was delectable, and while the sourdough bread made for a nice change to the standard toast you get with a Full English.

Drinks-wise, which we felt was the best part of the experience, you have a choice from bottomless margaritas, aperol spritz and/or bloody marys. If you want to stay away from alcohol teas and coffees are available too. I’m quite the drinker and the margaritas had me seeing stars by the time I got home, so if you’re big on your drink we’d certainly recommend that.

The winsome venue is warm with its mood-lit corners for couples wanting a cosy drink. A colourful wall dominates the second floor bringing in a South American vibe. And when the weather is nice the rooftop terrace is a must for alfresco lovers.
